Haksadae, Scenic Sea Spot

Pyongyang, January 28 (KCNA) -- Haksadae, a scenic spot, is on the seashore of Haksadae-ri, Riwon County, South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK.

The spot consisting of rocks, moss-covered cliffs and trees in harmony with sea reminds one of Sea Kumgang.

The rocks and cliffs with different shapes there are formed with granite cut and washed by sea for many years. In particular, one hundred-ton granite rock moves with waves and a sandy beach came into being on the seashore, adding beauty to the natural scenery.

There are rocks submerged in sea water and marine plants like seaweed and kelp are distributed on them according to depth of the sea water. Sea urchins, sea cucumbers, octopus and others are seen in clear water. They are reminiscent of natural aquarium.

Sunrise from the rock mountains is very spectacular.

Modernly-built resorts are located in different parts of Haksadae with a section of about one kilometer.

On the seashore before the resorts, angling sites and various facilities for body building are provided to delight the visitors. -0-
