Pyongyang, February 12 (KCNA) -- Young people in Kangwon Province of the DPRK have volunteered to work at major theaters of socialist construction.

Youths in Sepho and Changdo counties advanced into difficult posts such as the construction brigade.

Those in Thongchon and Kumgang counties petitioned to work at the posts of managing roads to carry forward the revolutionary spirit and fighting traits of the young vanguard of the preceding generation.

Among the patriotic young people are members of the youth league in Phangyo and Hoeyang counties who volunteered to work at the posts of managing ridge ways.

A meeting to congratulate the volunteers was held at the Kangwon Provincial Art Theatre on February 11.

Present there were Ju Mun Jin, chairman of the Kangwon Provincial People's Committee, officials concerned, officials of the youth league, youth and students in Wonsan City. Certificates of petition were awarded to the volunteers to be followed by a congratulatory address and resolution-taking speeches.

Officials, youth and students encouraged the volunteers, presenting bouquets to them. -0-
