Pyongyang, January 4 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in the forestry sector of the DPRK make innovations in the winter timber production for the new year.

The Hwaphyong Forestry Station, the Songwon Mine Timber Production Station and other units of the Jagang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau have over-fulfilled their daily quotas by introducing efficient working methods.

Yonam and Paegam mine timber production stations under the Ryanggang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau have increased their production by selecting suitable forests and applying the efficient transport to suit the conditions of mountains.

The Toan Forestry Station and Sinhung and Jongphyong mine timber production stations under the South Hamgyong Provincial Forestry Management Bureau are concentrating efforts on the transport of timbers in good time.

The North Phyongan Provincial Forestry Management Bureau, too, has made successes from the outset of the year while supplying in good time materials, equipment and labor protection materials necessary for the production. -0-
