Pyongyang, May 20 (KCNA) -- At the foot of picturesque Mt Taesong in Pyongyang there are the Natural History Museum and the Central Zoo where the DPRK people have frequented.

The Natural History Museum, which is a scientific knowledge dissemination base for giving comprehensive knowledge of the history of the earth, origin of life, animals and plants and other organisms, and the Central Zoo, which has many animal sheds including wild beast den, monkey shed and elephant shed, are bases for education and cultural and emotional life of the working people, youth and students.

They are associated with the devoted efforts of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who always pays deep attention to the cultural and emotional life of the people.

Kim Jong Un personally initiated the construction of the Natural History Museum and unfolded a plan to turn the Central Zoo into a world-wide zoo. He visited the construction sites of the museum and zoo nearing completion on one day in May 2016.

Going round various places of the wonderfully built museum, he said with great pleasure that another peculiar educational base, cultural recreation place for our people, youth and students has been built.

He visited the zoo built in a modern way in harmony with the surrounding scenery and expressed great satisfaction over the fact that the visitors could come to the zoo and spend pleasant time irrespective of a season, giving precious instructions on the preparations for the management and operation of the museum and the zoo.

Now the Natural History Museum and the Central Zoo built under his noble loving care are full of happy laughter of working people in various circles, youth and students enjoying cultural and emotional life to their heart's content. -0-
