University Graduates in DPRK Volunteer to Work at Major Worksites

Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- Graduates from universities of education and teachers training colleges in North Phyongan Province and Kaesong Municipality of the DPRK have volunteered to work at revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu and schools in mountainous areas and islets.

A graduate of Cha Kwang Su Sinuiju University of Education resolved to become a soldier on the outpost of ideological front of the Workers' Party of Korea, whose mission is to firmly arm the people with the revolutionary spirit of Paektu while glorifying the immortal revolutionary exploits of the peerlessly great persons in the battle sites of Mt Paektu forever.

Graduates of Sinuiju Teachers Training College and Songdo University of Education vowed to work at schools in mountainous areas and islet branch schools, with the desire to leave distinguished trace as revolutionary teachers responsible for the future of the country, whether they are known and recognized or not.

Among the volunteers are graduates determined to work as teachers at rural schools, true to the Party's policy on reducing the difference in the educational level between town and countryside.

At meetings held on spots to congratulate those volunteers, speakers requested all graduates to glorify the honor of patriotic youth in the vanguard of the struggle for realizing the Party's plan and intention and fulfill their duties as frontline soldiers on the ideological front of the Party and as persons directly responsible for the education of the rising generation.

Officials and youth and students in North Phyongan Province and Kaesong Municipality encouraged the volunteers, presenting bouquets to them. -0-
