Pyongyang, June 19 (KCNA) -- The construction sector of the DPRK has taken foresighted measures to prevent damage caused by the rainy season.

Measures have been taken in advance at the construction site of 10 000 flats at the fourth stage in the Hwasong area to provide a guarantee for carrying on the construction on a high qualitative level without letup in the rainy season.

The headquarters for building 50 000 flats in Pyongyang make each construction unit ensure the safety of the builders from lightning and thunderbolt and the relevant sections, including materials and construction sections, find out the factors which may affect the construction during the rainy season and eliminate them in time.

Meanwhile, the work has been pushed forward to prevent the electric equipment and power lines at the construction sites from damage by flood and rainstorm.

Besides, the construction sites of regional-industry factories in 20 cities and counties, including Taegwan, Paechon and Puryong counties, and construction sites of rural dwelling houses have taken the measures to push ahead with the construction without letup in the rainy season. -0-
