38th Sci-Tech Festival of Kim Il Sung University Held

Pyongyang, February 22 (KCNA) -- The 38th Science and Technology Festival of Kim Il Sung University took place in the DPRK from February 19 to 21.

Teachers, researchers, postgraduate students and students of the university have made many achievements over the last one year through a campaign of brains and quest.

Presented to the festival, held on the theme "Science and technology are a traction engine for comprehensive national rejuvenation", were more than 180 scientific research successes conducive to the economic construction and the improvement of the people's living standards.

The festival was held in the forms of presentation and exhibition of sci-tech achievements, exhibition contests among units, sci-tech forum and exchange of new technologies, divided into six panels including key industry, agriculture and land and environmental protection.

Drawing the attention of the participants were an integrated production system of the Sinpho City Offshore Farm, developed and completed true to the Workers' Party of Korea's policy plan, a technical proposal for solving the problem of phosphatic fertilizer and other achievements.

During the festival, there were the presentation and examination of sci-tech achievements and the exchange of experience gained in the scientific research activities. And the themes of future research were newly selected.

The rotating pennants and certificates were conferred on the units and participants who won a high appreciation. -0-
