Normal Operation of Regional Foodstuff Factories in DPRK

Pyongyang, February 22 (KCNA) -- Regional-industry factories, which were built in 20 cities and counties of the DPRK as the first entities of regional rejuvenation thanks to the intention of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, are striving to put production on a normal footing by raising the scientific level of business management and to improve the quality of products.

Teachers and researchers and high-level skilled workers of industrial establishments in the capital city of Pyongyang give positive technical guidance on the spot.

In close cooperation with them, city and county foodstuff factories are directing efforts to improving the quality of products to the standard of national products while intensifying sci-tech lectures and passing-on technique among employees.

The Songchon County Foodstuff Factory has established a strict system for checking products to improve the taste and quality of various kinds of condiments, confectionery and processed vegetables.

Employees of the foodstuff factories in Jaeryong and Hamju counties are intensifying the collective discussion with scientists and technicians to make all foodstuffs popular among the people.

The foodstuff factories in Unchon, Usi, Tongsin, Kim Hyong Jik and Jangphung counties have made their employees acquire professional knowledge and make good use of modern equipment and advanced processing methods through the operation of sci-tech learning spaces.

Kyongsong, Sukchon, Kumya, Unpha and Onchon county foodstuff factories, where all the production processes have been put on a germ-free and dust-free basis, are directing efforts to improving the quality of goods under an integrated production system.

Kusong City and Kujang, Unsan, Orang, Yonthan, Kosan and Ichon counties have trained technical forces of the factories with the help of teachers and researchers from the capital city, thus laying a solid foundation for mass-producing peculiar products representing their regions with locally available raw materials. -0-
