Pyongyang, October 30 (KCNA) -- South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK is strengthening the material and technological foundation of raw materials bases for the regional-industry factories.

Hamju County has expanded the areas of raw materials bases by finding places with favorable conditions, secured seeds, fertilizers and other farm materials and sent the bases tractors, wheat planters and cultivators to increase the rate of farm work done by machines.

Yonggwang County has newly built production buildings for workteams of raw materials bases and provided thousands of tons of manure and huminite and small- and medium-sized farm implements.

Yodok County and other counties in the mountainous areas have secured herbs, wild fruits, cocoons and other raw materials by involving all the masses.

Officials and working people in Kumya and Kowon counties are directing efforts to the farming in raw materials bases while learning advanced farming methods and cultivation technology through agricultural sci-tech study and production practice. -0-
