Pyongyang, December 4 (KCNA) -- Scientific research successes have been made at various units of the DPRK.

The Anju Pump Factory succeeded in developing a new type of stainless steel pump, thus making it possible to meet the prospective demand of all economic sectors for high-performance mechanical products.

A research group of Kim Chaek University of Technology and a technical force of the Kim Chaek Rock Drill Factory developed an energy-saving pneumatic rock drill. The newly developed drill is more efficient and higher than the existing drills of same type in performance.

The Electric Power Engineering Institute under the Electrical Engineering Faculty of Kim Chaek University of Technology developed an automatic power factor controller capable of ensuring the power factor of load at over 95 percent. Meanwhile, a research group manufactured an acoustic sensor switch. -0-
