Housing Construction Accelerated in DPRK

Pyongyang, October 29 (KCNA) -- The housing construction planned for this year is making headway at the final stage in the Komdok area of the DPRK.

More than 1 500 flats being built along the valley are a creation brought by officials and builders of the General Bureau of the Tanchon Area Mining Industry through their steadfast spirit of implementing the decision of the Workers' Party of Korea and innovative work style.

The builders of the Ryongchon Mine are expanding the successes made in the project while introducing rational methods suited to the high-elevation terrain conditions and strengthening cooperation with each other with the main emphasis on improving the quality.

The builders of the Tanchon Smeltery have pushed ahead with the project at 130 percent by keeping the demand for construction.

Similar successes are made by builders from the Komdok Mining Complex, the Tanchon Mining Machine Factory and other units. -0-
