Pyongyang, June 20 (KCNA) -- Farms across the DPRK are stepping up the immediate farming process.

Amid the high enthusiasm of agricultural officials and workers and volunteers, the first-round weeding of paddy fields was finished and the third-round weeding of maize fields has been accelerated at 80 percent throughout the country.

Farms in South Hwanghae Province completed the third-round weeding of paddy and dry fields in a short period and are now speeding up the fourth-round weeding.

Such progress has been made at farms in other provinces. -0-
