Pyongyang, February 10 (KCNA) -- To start their study tour of revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu, students and other young men and women from across the country gathered at the plaza before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il in Hyesan City, Ryanggang Province of the DPRK, on February 9.

Present there were officials concerned, officials of the youth league and expedition members.

They laid a flower basket and bouquets of flowers at the statues of the President and the Chairman and paid tribute to them.

Then, a report was made at the meeting to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers stressed the need for all the expedition members to acquire the steadfast revolutionary spirit and indomitable fighting spirit of the first generation of the revolution and demonstrate the resourcefulness and courage peculiar to the Korean youth in the vanguard of the general advance for the comprehensive development of the great state.

After the meeting, the expedition members left for the Pochonbo Revolutionary Battle Site under the flags of the DPRK and the Socialist Patriotic Youth League. -0-
