Meetings with War Veterans Held in DPRK

Pyongyang, July 26 (KCNA) -- Workers, trade union members, women's union members, youth and students across the DPRK held meetings with war veterans on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

When the veterans entered the venues for the meetings, participants presented bouquets to them.

The participants paid tribute to the victors of the 1950s.

At the meetings, the war veterans recalled the days when they fought a decisive battle against the aggressors in order to defend the dignity, honor and sovereignty of the Republic under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung.

They stressed that the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War is shining in history as an event noteworthy in the world war history as it is the victory of the outstanding military idea, extraordinary strategy and superb commanding art of the President.

They said that they inflicted wholesale deaths on the aggressors by displaying unequalled mass heroism with the love for their grateful social system, native places, workplaces, parents, brothers and sisters and with the bitter hatred for the enemy trying to deprive them of everything.

They stressed that the future of the country is brighter and rosier thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, another illustrious commander.

Handing over the national flags of the DPRK at the meetings, the veterans called for devoting efforts, wisdom and enthusiasm to achieving the prosperity of the country which the forerunners defended and built at the cost of their blood. -0-
