Pyongyang, July 26 (KCNA) -- Phyongsong University of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry in the DPRK marked its 70th founding anniversary.

President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il gave instructions on training excellent technicians in the field of animal husbandry and clearly indicated the ways ahead of the university, while giving field guidance at it.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un highly appreciated even the small achievements made by teachers and researchers of the university, sent modern equipment for experiment and practice and made sure that it developed into an educational center in the field of animal husbandry.

The university exploited new subjects for training talents in the field of animal husbandry and developed equipment and apparatuses for experiment and practice and education aid programs, thus further perfecting the educational structure and improving the contents and methods of education.

It organized symposiums, mobile lectures and short courses and disseminated valuable achievements and played the role of academic center, data service center and tele-education center in the field of animal husbandry.

A meeting was held on Friday to mark the 70th founding anniversary of the university.
