National Photo Exhibition Opens to Mark 80th Anniversary of Korea's Liberation

Pyongyang, August 5 (KCNA) -- A national photo exhibition "Great victory in the great anti-Japanese war, brilliant succession" opened with due ceremony at the People's Palace of Culture on Monday to mark the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

On display at the venue of the exhibition are photos dealing with the noble revolutionary careers and immortal exploits of the peerlessly great men.

The photos show the exploits of President Kim Il Sung to shine in the century who liberated and defended the country through the bloody anti-Japanese war and in the flames of the Fatherland Liberation War.

They also show the efforts of Chairman Kim Jong Il who made a long journey of patriotic devotion with his belief that the victory and prosperity of socialism are guaranteed by strong arms.

The photos solemnly depict the great personality of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who left his sacred traces in the battle areas of Mt Paektu.

The photos show the personality of Kim Jong Un as a peerlessly great man who is consolidating the powerful military muscle and defending the peace and happiness of our state and people.

Among the photos are those dealing with the devotion of Kim Jong Un who is ushering in a gigantic new era of national prosperity by dint of outstanding ideo-theoretical wisdom and leadership.

Present at the opening ceremony were Ju Chang Il, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned and working people in Pyongyang.

Minister of Culture Sung Jong Gyu made an opening address.

At the end of the ceremony the participants looked round the venue of the exhibition. -0-
