Educators of DPRK Respected in Public

Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- October 5 is World Day of Teachers.

In the DPRK where national trait of attaching importance to education has been established, educators are being respected by society as committed revolutionaries who bring up the future of the country.

A social atmosphere of respecting and putting forward the teachers has been improved and the enthusiasm for supporting the educational sector is mounting in different parts of the country.

The Workers' Party of Korea and the state have treated the teachers devoting themselves to education as patriots and provided them with excellent houses free of charge.

In recent years, they have selected ten best teachers every year and estimated their merits in making a remarkable success in the van of the educational revolution. They have also taken various preferential measures for teachers.
