Pyongyang, April 26 (KCNA) -- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to Mun Myon Gi, a war veteran living in Neighborhood Unit No. 30, Kisan-ri, Unpha County, North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK, on his 100th birthday.

The old man, who was deeply moved by the deep love of the respected Marshal, expressed his gratitude to him.

Officials of the Unpha County Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and villagers shared joy with the family and relatives of the old man.

He was born into a poor peasant's family before the liberation and came to know well how precious the country is, being subject to all sorts of maltreatment and contempt. He volunteered for the army during the Fatherland Liberation War and performed military exploits in several battles. He worked with devotion at his revolutionary posts in the postwar period of rehabilitation and the period of socialist construction.

The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un invited him to the national conferences of war veterans and glorified the life of the victorious wartime generation as he has remained loyal to the Party and the revolution with the invariable attitude of a frontline soldier and brought his children up to be pillars of the country. -0-
