Pyongyang, January 2 (KCNA) -- North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK is purposefully pushing ahead with the work to increase grain production by introducing the method of raising rice seedlings in greenhouses. As part of it, the province newly built dozens of rice seedling cultivation greenhouses at farms in its cities and counties.

After setting the sites for greenhouses in the places favorable for supplying water and carrying seedlings and taking necessary measures for supplying materials, Sariwon City concluded the construction in a short span of period.

Pongsan and Unpha counties have built greenhouses with much care in order to intensively raise rice seedlings in effective use of space and provided equipment capable of automatically measuring and displaying temperature, moisture, sunshine ratio, concentration of carbon dioxide, etc.

At the same time, cities and counties laid foundations for raising rice seedlings safely by training employees and pushing ahead with the work to make conditions necessary for raising seedlings. -0-
