Pyongyang, December 20 (KCNA) -- According to Rodong Sinmun, the pit concreting method developed by the Mining Engineering Institute of the Academy of Coal Mining Science in the DPRK has been introduced into coal mines across the country, proving effective.

The development of the advanced method for realizing the steel-saving pit concreting on a high level provided another sci-tech guarantee for increased production in the coal industrial sector.

The method helps reinforce the bedrocks around pits to increase the supporting capacity.

It is said that the expense for the maintenance of pits can be reduced.

The introduction of the pit concreting method is gaining momentum at the anthracite mines in the coal industrial sector. -0-
