Pyongyang, November 21 (KCNA) -- An event took place at the Taedongmun Kindergarten in Central District of the DPRK on Thursday to mark Child Health Day.

Present there were members of the Korean Association for Supporting the Children, officials of the Ministry of Public Health and officials and kindergarteners of the units of nursing and upbringing children in Pyongyang.

A speaker said at the event that in the country which spares nothing for the rising generations, the healthcare and treatment of children and the contents and methods of nursing and upbringing them are being improved in keeping with the world's development trend, and the institutions for nursing and upbringing children across the country are turning into the cradles of happiness.

Then, followed a presentation on the qualitative development of the growth of children and vaccination of children.

That day the participants enjoyed a congratulatory performance given by the children of Taedongmun Kindergarten. -0-
