Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- Scientists of the Nano Engineering Branch of the State Academy of Sciences of the DPRK have developed and introduced the technology for producing Korean-style biobinder conducive to putting the metallurgical industry on a Juche basis.

Members of the research group established the technology of biomass fast pyrolysis, the core of the research into binder, by our own way and clarified all indices for industrialization on a scientific way. The technology for producing biobinder for metallurgy based on our technology and raw materials has been introduced into the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex.

The establishment of the technology for producing and using biobinder with biomass abundant in the country opened up a prospect for producing various kinds of quality fire-proof materials and made progress in strengthening the Juche character and independence of the metallurgical industry.

Scientists of the Nano Engineering Branch are now conducting scientific researches into expanding and introducing the technology into different sectors of the national economy. -0-
