Pyongyang, March 3 (KCNA) -- Young people in the capital city of Pyongyang have volunteered to work at major worksites of socialist construction.

Those in Mangyongdae District, Tongdaewon District and other districts of the city asked their youth league organizations to dispatch them to difficult and labor-consuming sectors including construction brigade.

Youth league members in Sadong District volunteered for the district road management office out of their mind to make the capital city brighter and more beautiful.

A meeting was held at the Central Youth Hall on March 2 to congratulate the volunteers.

Certificates of petition were awarded to the volunteers and a congratulatory address was made to be followed by speeches at the meeting attended by officials concerned, youth league officials and youth and students.

The speaker congratulated the young vanguard on setting their lifetime goal in the path to realize the intention of the Workers' Party of Korea and volunteering for major worksites.

The volunteers expressed their resolve to make new miracles and innovations in every worksite of socialist construction.

Youth and students encouraged the volunteers, presenting bouquets to them. -0-
