Pyongyang, March 3 (KCNA) -- North Phyongan Province of the DPRK puts spurs to the preparations for this year's rural housing construction.

The province conducted organizational and political work to further strengthen the material and technical foundations of construction brigades through exhibitions of construction equipment and utensils and tools in cities and counties.

It ensured that the city and county construction brigades, with the Taegwan County Construction Brigade as a model, push ahead with the work to build up the ranks of skilled workers and raise the level of construction equipment. And it also made sure that the builders turned a technical innovation movement for improving quality and saving materials into the work for themselves.

Officials of Phihyon, Kujang and Ryongchon counties are training those who will carry on the rural construction work, while operating the schools of skilled builders effectively.

Chonma, Changsong, Unsan and Tongnim counties are securing enough aggregates and timbers for construction and equipping themselves with various kinds of construction equipment.

Kwaksan, Yomju and Tongchang counties have worked out plans to revitalize the production bases for colored mortar and artificial stone boards and consolidated material and technical foundations for building materials production.

Meanwhile, Sinuiju City, Sakju and Sonchon counties took measures to build rural dwellings by making highly skilled builders enlist in the construction brigades and reinforcing material means. -0-
