Pyongyang, July 4 (KCNA) -- Officials and working people in the agricultural sector of Ryanggang Province of the DPRK are putting the manuring and cultivation of potato fields on a scientific basis to produce high and safe yields despite disastrous abnormal weather.

Agricultural science institutes in the province have studied farming methods to do potato farming in safe irrespective of weather conditions and made sure that they were introduced into farms

Taehongdan County is regularly applying organic fertilizers in the rainy season, thus removing the difference in crop growth.

Samsu County is solving the problems arising in manuring and cultivation by studying agricultural science and technology and disseminating advanced farming techniques.

Similar measures are being taken in Samjiyon City and Paegam, Kapsan, Kim Jong Suk, Phungso, Unhung and Pochon counties. -0-
