Pyongyang, July 19 (KCNA) -- South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK directs efforts to boosting the capability to cope with emergency.

The province ensured that simulated sea warning drills were conducted in the coastal cities and counties to timely evacuate people and ships in an emergency of natural disaster.

Emergency mobilization means and rescue teams have been deployed near the dangerous areas to cope with the possible natural disaster.

It also took measures to minimize damage caused by disaster-prone climate by reinforcing observation posts and observation personnel in dangerous areas where landslides, floods, tidal waves, etc. may occur.

Cities and counties (districts), too, have been carrying out the plans to cope with the possible natural disasters. -0-
