Floral Tributes Paid to Statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il

Pyongyang, October 11 (KCNA) -- All the people of the DPRK who have greeted the significant 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea as a great revolutionary event pay the highest glory to President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, founder and builder of the WPK.

Officials, working people, service personnel, school youth and children visited the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il across the country to lay flower baskets before the statues.

Flower baskets were laid before the statues of the great leaders on Mansu Hill in the names of the Party, power and armed forces organs, ministries, national agencies, units of the Korean People's Army (KPA) and the Public Security Forces (PSF) and institutions, industrial establishments and universities at all levels in Pyongyang.

The visitors paid homage to the statues of the President and the Chairman.

Flower baskets in the names of institutions, enterprises, units of the KPA and the PSF, and bouquets and flowers were laid before the statues of the great leaders in various parts of the capital including Kim Il Sung University and the Mansudae Art Studio.

Officials, working people, service personnel and school youth and children in other parts of the country visited the statues of the President and the Chairman in their residential areas to pay homage to them. -0-
