Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- The Educational Books Publishing House in the DPRK marked its 80th founding anniversary.

The publishing house formulated a proposal to compile anew all textbooks for preschool educational institutions, primary and middle schools and teacher training institutions in our own way and made efforts to put them on a practical, comprehensive and modern basis. As a result, good teaching materials helpful to enhancing the students' will to study have been compiled to meet the pedagogical requirements.
While paying attention to making reference books conducive to improving the practical abilities of students and adding to their knowledge, the publishing house has written and edited new types of teaching materials for the education of the disabled, thus contributing to implementing the popular educational policies of the Party and the state.
The valuable educational resources were provided to lay a foundation for developing the country's education on the principle of training the new generations to be full-fledged revolutionary talents with sound spirit and rich knowledge from the general education stage and of valuing and fostering their natural disposition and aptitudes.
A commemorative meeting was held on the spot on November 25.
Present there were Choe Tong Myong, secretary of the Central Committee of the WPK, officials concerned and officials, journalists, editors and employees of the publishing house.
Choe Tong Myong conveyed a congratulatory message of the WPK Central Committee to the editors, journalists and officials of the publishing house at the meeting.
