Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- Several units of the Ministry of Railways of the DPRK have made valuable technical innovations conducive to ensuring the safety of railways.

The Pyongyang Rolling Stock Accessory Factory perfected the production line for making the new-type railway fixtures.

The Sinsongchon Railway Branch laid a foundation for ensuring the quality of railway fixtures by manufacturing and introducing a new heat-treatment furnace necessary for establishing the production line of graphite iron.

The Sunchon Sleeper Production Company has modernized the process of iron bar and manufactured rotary iron bar cutters, while the Chongjin Concrete Sleeper Factory manufactured and introduced double gravel washers.

The Hamhung Rolling Stock Accessory Factory manufactured an analytical experimental apparatus, introduced a shock-absorbing system and thus contributed to ensuring the safety of press and mold equipment.

The Kilju Concrete Sleeper Factory has improved the quality of concrete sleepers and other units have conducted the mass technical innovation movement for ensuring the safety of railways. -0-
