Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- Various units in the coal industrial sector of the DPRK are concentrating efforts on strengthening the material and technical foundation.

The February 8 Jikdong Youth Coal Mine under the Sunchon Area Youth Coal Mining Complex has established and introduced new tunnel maintenance technology and developed new additives to improve the quality of castings.

The Kujang Area Coal Mining Complex has directed efforts to further rounding off the material and technical foundation of coal mine maintenance bases. As a result, various kinds of accessories are produced at the maintenance bases of the complex and coal mines under it, the tunneling speed has been further increased and progress made in improving coal mining and carrying capacity.

The Pukchang Area Youth Coal Mining Complex and the Hamnam Area Coal Mining Complex are supplying equipment and materials to survey teams while reinforcing them.

The Tokchon Area Coal Mining Complex is directing big efforts to strengthening maintenance bases of survey teams and introducing efficient survey equipment. -0-
