Pyongyang, February 25 (KCNA) -- The grand construction struggle in 2025 to implement the regional development policy in the new era is going on in a three-dimensional and full-scale way in the DPRK.

There took place on Monday the groundbreaking ceremonies of regional-industry factories in Sinyang and Koksan counties, a hospital in Kusong City and regional-industry factories and a leisure complex in Jongphyong County for the Regional Development 20×10 Policy.

Present there were Kim Tok Hun, member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, chief secretaries of the provincial committees of the WPK, officials and working people in relevant provinces, city and counties, service personnel and builders.

At the ceremonies, speakers said that the stirring reality, in which the unprecedented gigantic revolution is being made one after another to transform the regional areas, is an eye-opening change that can be made only by the steadfast outlook on the revolution and the people of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who never feels contented with the work for the people.

They referred to the fact that the General Secretary set forth the iron rule that the factories to be built for the promotion of people's well-being should be Korean-style ones fully suited to the regional conditions and convenience of the inhabitants, and clearly indicated the orientation and ways for raising the next-stage regional construction onto a higher level in line with the simultaneous construction of new factories in 20 cities and counties and has energetically led the work to do so.

They said that the new factories, which are to be built in a modern way in harmony with surrounding environment to make effective development and use of regional economic resources, are precious assets greatly conducive to promoting the improvement of the living standards of the people in the city and counties and sprucing up their appearance as regional bases of the highly-civilized, prosperous and powerful country.

They said that the construction of multifunctional bases for cultural activities and modern public health facilities under the noble plan of the General Secretary is the work essential for the comprehensive and sustained development of regions.

The speakers stressed that the new change to be certainly made in 20 cities and counties this year, too, would more powerfully prove the validity of the revolutionary cause of the WPK ushering in a new great era of regional transformation and the rosy future of socialism.

Then, officials and commanding officers of the construction units made speeches of pledge.

With the high confidence to bring about another epochal change in the new era, the builders started the projects in high spirits, operating construction equipment at full capacity. -0-
