Pyongyang, July 3 (KCNA) -- Fishery units across the DPRK are directing big efforts to aquaculture.

Officials and employees of the Pupho Offshore Farm are boosting the production of kelp by introducing advanced cultivation methods.

The farm gathers a large amount of seaweeds every day.

The Ongjin Offshore Farm has directed efforts to raising the technical knowledge and skills of cultivators to actively apply various advanced methods suited to the growth speed of seaweeds and, at the same time, raised the operating rate of processing equipment.

The Kumipho Fishery Station boosted the daily production by harvesting kelp more than two rounds a day.

Officials and employees of various offshore farms in the east coastal area increased the per-hectare yield of mussels. -0-
