Pyongyang, November 7 (KCNA) -- The Jongsong General Pharmaceutical Factory in the DPRK is a modern base for producing medicines conducive to the promotion of people's health and the preventive and curative medical care for them.

The factory is associated with the guidance of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un who has devoted himself to the production of quality medicines.

One day in November 2014, the General Secretary visited the factory and learnt in detail about its production and management while looking round various production lines.

He appreciated that its officials and employees have produced efficient medicines and strictly and responsibly examined them with the latest equipment after establishing a modern medicine examination center and put the overall production lines on an automated, germ-free and dust-free basis on a high level.

He set forth the tasks facing the factory, saying that it has an important duty and role to play in further displaying the advantages of the socialist public health system and developing the country's pharmaceutical industry.

True to his instructions, the factory has made successes in increasing the proportion of locally available raw materials and equipment more than the past by giving priority to science and technology and making technological innovations.

It has increased the production of liquid medicine and the kinds of officinal medicines and improved their qualities. Its production processes for injections and capsule medicines won the GMP authentication. -0-
