New Era of Regional Rejuvenation in DPRK

Pyongyang, January 23 (KCNA) -- Two years have passed since the Regional Development 20×10 Policy of the Workers' Party of Korea was unveiled.

In January 2024, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un, at the Tenth Session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly, named the WPK's policy for powerfully promoting the regional-industry development the Regional Development 20×10 Policy. Later, he advanced the plan and strategy for thoroughly implementing it at the 19th Enlarged Meeting of the Political Bureau of the Eighth Central Committee of the WPK.

The Party spares nothing for the people. Its another undertaking for them, a long-cherished desire, entered a stage of full-scale implementation.

At the ground-breaking ceremony of the construction of regional-industry factories in Songchon County, Kim Jong Un declared the start of the regional-industry revolution and visited construction sites in different parts of the country to specify shortcomings and remedies.

Under the energetic leadership of Kim Jong Un, who pushes ahead with the gigantic revolutionary undertakings for promoting the people's well-being while making sure that advanced public health facilities, leisure complexes and grain storage stations were built alongside regional-industry factories, the regions have undergone unprecedentedly radical transformation over the past two years.

Modern industrial factories were built in the regions accounting for one-fifth of the country, along with new hospitals and leisure complexes in cities and counties, and new offshore farms in Sinpho City and Ragwon County of South Hamgyong Province. This contributes to the regional economic and cultural development and improvement of the people's living standards.

New villages in different parts of the country give great pleasure to the people.

The regional people, witnessing the eye-opening realities, extend their gratitude to the WPK, filled with great emotion and excitement to enjoy prosperity and high civilization to be envied by urban populations. -0-
