Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- Preparations for the 38th National Festival of Science and Technology are progressing apace in the DPRK.

The festival organizing committee consists of officials, scientists and technicians from the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea and relevant ministries and national agencies.

Already finished was the acceptance of successful proposals, appreciated and recommended at each provincial (municipal) sci-tech festival and ministries and national agencies.

Selected were more than 900 proposals of valuable sci-tech achievements from at least 1 000 proposals accepted at the preliminary examination.

The organizing committee has directed much effort to the preparations for the festival as it is held in the mode of virtual exhibition through the state data communication network as well as product exhibition.

Meanwhile, the committee finished the manufacture of cups and medals to be awarded at the festival and has pushed ahead with the creation of festival poster and the work for making charts of the selected sci-tech proposals at the final stage. -0-
