Pyongyang, October 23 (KCNA) -- Harvesting and threshing are progressing apace in the DPRK amid the mounting spirit of officials, working people in the agricultural field and helpers.

Rice harvest was completed in more than 100 cities and counties and over 1 700 farms across the country. As of October 22, the harvesting results exceeded 90 percent.

The officials of the Agricultural Commission and the agricultural guidance organs at all levels have launched a dynamic operation and command to finish the rice harvest in the shortest time despite unfavourable weather conditions, being conscious that the success of this year's grain production depends on the conclusion of farming. -0-
