Women's Union Officials and Members Meet to Celebrate 76th Birthday of DPRK

Pyongyang, September 7 (KCNA) -- Women's union officials and members met at the Hall of Women on September 6 to celebrate the 76th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

Present there were officials of the Central Committee of the women's union and union officials and members in Pyongyang.

Jon Hyang Sun, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the women's union, made a report to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers said that the founding anniversary of the glorious DPRK is being greeted at a time when all the people of the country are waging a courageous struggle for the comprehensive development of Korean-style socialism with confidence in sure victory under the wise leadership of the great Workers' Party of Korea Central Committee.

The 76-year history of the DPRK is associated with the leadership of the peerlessly great men who trained the women into full-fledged masters of the state and society and powerful forces for building a thriving nation, they noted.

They expressed their determination to make contributions to the work for the prosperity and development of the DPRK by devoting their patriotic sweat and passion with the great pride of holding the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un in high esteem as the father of the great socialist family. -0-
