Pyongyang, October 20 (KCNA) -- The Food and Consumer Goods Research Institute under the Ministry of Regional Industry in the DPRK has made a series of research achievements conducive to developing regional industry.

As the production processes of regional-industry factories have been put on a streamlined way, a research group of the institute manufactured and completed an automatic infuser to fill the containers with fixed quantity of products.

Developing beverages peculiar to regions, it set a rational rate for mixing raw materials and gave field technical guidance and organized a demonstration over the problems arising in ensuring the normal operation of various kinds of equipment, thus improving the quality of products and productivity.

Researchers of the Food-processing Machine Research Institute invented and introduced a new rotary raw soy separator to improve the productivity and quality.

On the basis of a scientific analysis of the characteristics of wheat cultivated in the country, the Food Research Institute confirmed the composition of a reinforcing agent and a manufacturing method for enhancing the gluten strength of wheat flour and is establishing at the final stage a process for making gluten-reinforcing agents in an industrial way. -0-
