Pyongyang, May 26 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in the forestry sector of the DPRK are providing a guarantee for increasing timber production by strengthening the material and technical foundations.

The Hamju Forestry Machine Factory under the South Hamgyong Provincial Forestry Management Bureau has produced enough spare parts necessary for repair and maintenance of vehicles and the Manpho Forestry Machine Factory under the Jagang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau is supplying spare parts for forest locomotives, including wheels.

The Millim Motor Saw Factory under the South Phyongan Provincial Forestry Management Bureau realized the local production of 15 kinds of motor saw accessories to carry out the plan and manufactured jigs and equipment by itself, thus raising the processing accuracy of products.

The material and technical foundations of repair bases for the installation of cableways and the maintenance of the forest railway are being further strengthened in different parts of the country to raise the capacity for timber transportation.

The Songgan Forestry Station under the Jagang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau and the Yonam Mine Timber Production Station under the Ryanggang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau are making effective use of the existing foundations and potentials to produce sleepers and railway fixtures needed for enhancing the intensity of forest railway.

The Wiyon Wooden Ware Factory under the Ryanggang Provincial Forestry Management Bureau is fully supplying cement and steel needed for the reconstruction and modernization and the Kilju Plywood Factory is raising its production through the overhaul. -0-
