Pyongyang, December 11 (KCNA) -- Following are major news items and articles in leading newspapers of the DPRK on Thursday:

- The second-day sitting of the 13th Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea was held. (photos accompanied)

- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un paid a condolatory visit to the Russian embassy here. (photos accompanied)

- Kim Jong Un received a letter from the General Association of Koreans in China.

- Leading officials of the WPK Central Committee paid a condolatory visit to the Russian embassy here.

- Pak Thae Song, premier of the DPRK Cabinet, expressed deep condolences over the demise of the Russian ambassador to the DPRK.

- Leading officials of the Party and the government visited the Russian embassy here to offer condolences.
