Stamp Exhibition Opens

Pyongyang, August 13 (KCNA) -- A stamp exhibition opened with due ceremony at the Korean Stamp Exhibition House on Tuesday to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Korea's liberation.

On display at the exhibition held under the theme of "Great Victory in the Great Anti-Japanese War Will Be Carried Forward Generation after Generation" are stamps dealing with the undying feats performed by President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for the liberation and prosperity of the country and the development of the Juche-oriented revolutionary armed forces.

The stamps remind one of the sacred revolutionary history of Kim Il Sung who defeated the brigandish Japanese imperialists, provided the Korean people with genuine dignity and rights and laid an eternal foundation for the happiness and prosperity of posterity.

There are stamps dealing with the devoted efforts of Kim Jong Il who put forward the People's Army as the pillar of the revolution and the main force for accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche and firmly defended the country, revolution and socialism.

The stamps carry the ennobling image of Kim Jong Un who demonstrates before the whole world the dignity and prestige of the DPRK and its people and ushers in a brilliant new era of prosperity of the country with his outstanding ideas and leadership.

Also displayed at the exhibition venue were stamps showing the successes made in various fields in the annals of the Korean revolution and the works of different themes presented by philatelists in Pyongyang.

Present at the opening ceremony were Ju Chang Il, department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned and philatelists in Pyongyang. -0-
