Pyongyang, September 18 (KCNA) -- The Taean Heavy Machine Complex was selected again as one of the ten best enterprises.

The complex set it as the most important task to improve quality as required by the increasing demand of custom-built equipment in all sectors of the national economy.

In particular, it proved the vitality of the Workers' Party of Korea's theory of attaching importance to machinery and equipment by giving priority to increasing scientific and technological forces and promoting modernization.

It improved the performance of turning lathes, hobbing lathes and boring lathes and remodeled the speed control device of large lathes by strengthening its own technical forces and waging a campaign for technical renovation and invention, thus increasing the productivity and processing accuracy and raising the operating rate in welding and grinding.

It ensured the quality of products by giving precedence to the digits in the whole course of its management activities.

In organic contact with the quality control station, it established a system of strictly inspecting every process ranging from the arrival of raw and other materials to the completion and forwarding of products.

Thanks to the high sense of responsibility and devoted efforts of the workers and technicians, parts and accessories are being processed and assembled as required by designs and technical regulations and unprecedented innovations were made in manufacturing custom-built equipment. -0-
