Pyongyang, December 3 (KCNA) -- South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK is conducting a mass movement to repair and expand waterways for the perfect agricultural irrigation.

Working people in Anak County in charge of the project for repairing and expanding Lake Jangsu-Ongjin and Kangryong waterways finished the task in 10-odd kilometer-long section ahead of schedule and those in Jaeryong and Sinchon counties have carried out their daily assignments.

Songhwa and Sinwon counties finished the project for Kuamho waterway in the sections under their charge and Unryul and Chongdan counties sped up the project under their charge in a qualitative way by making use of various kinds of equipment and tools.

Pyoksong and Ongjin counties, too, have made successes in the project under their charge.

City and county rural economy committees have worked out plans for launching a campaign for dredging and readjusting waterways. -0-
