Pyongyang, August 16 (KCNA) -- Following are major news items and articles in leading newspapers of the DPRK on Friday:

- Flood victims in North Phyongan, Jagang and Ryanggang provinces arrived here. Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited their lodging quarters to warmly greet them. (photos accompanied)

Officials of ministries and national agencies visited the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum.

There was an evening gala of youth and students.

A dancing party of officials and members of the women's union was held.

Staff members of the Russian embassy here laid wreaths before the Liberation Tower and cemeteries of the fallen fighters of the Soviet Army.
