Pyongyang, January 21 (KCNA) -- Officials, workers and technicians in the electric power industry of the DPRK have built a solar power plant with the capacity of thousands of kilowatts in the area of Phabal-ri of Kim Hyong Gwon County, Ryanggang Province.

This power plant was built under the first-stage plan for creating the solar generating capacity of tens of thousands of kilowatts in Ryanggang Province. It laid another material and technical foundation for the sustained growth of electricity production.

The electric power industry is now stepping up the project to build a solar power plant with a capacity of tens of thousands of kilowatts in the province while solving the problems for operating the newly-built solar power plant on a normal footing. -0-
