Pyongyang, February 27 (KCNA) -- Receptions were held in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, on Feb. 26 to commemorate the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The venues of the receptions including the Mokran House, the People's Palace of Culture, Okryu Restaurant and Chongryu Restaurant were filled with excitement of the participants who are to advance toward the greater victory with redoubled confidence and optimism, after receiving the new fighting programme for dynamic heyday of the great Party and comprehensive prosperity and development of the state at the glorious Party Congress.

Present there were Pak Thae Song, Jo Yong Won, Kim Jae Ryong and Ri Il Hwan, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK, and other members of the ninth-term Party central leadership and the delegates to the Ninth Congress of the WPK.

Invited to the receptions were the members of congratulatory groups of Koreans in Japan and the General Association of Koreans in China visiting the socialist homeland on the occasion of the Ninth WPK Congress.

The national anthem of the DPRK was played.

Speeches were made at the receptions.

Speakers said that the receptions are of significance as the participants are filled with the honorable mission and will to make steady innovation and advance, as well as their great excitement and joy and high pride of having glorified the Ninth Party Congress as a great watershed for the developing revolution, holding the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un at the top post of the WPK.

They referred to their highest honor of standing at the forefront of implementing the Party's decisions with the noble trust and glory of being representatives of the great Party in a new historic period when they will steadily record gigantic and sacred pages in the course of our state and people's struggle.

They called for displaying the high Party spirit, innovative creation traits, professional qualifications and thoroughgoing executive ability in the new struggle, mindful that the revolutionary work should be conducted with the cleanest conscience for the country and the people, absolute responsibility and full dedication.

They stressed that when all delegates think in a forward-looking manner and continue to advance, always placing their mind at the venue of the glorious Congress and raising a high demand by themselves, record-breaking successes and miracles will be made one after another in all sectors, regions and units and the dignity and decisions of the Party Congress will be perfectly defended.

The participants in the receptions toasted the eternal dignity and prosperity of the DPRK, their beloved country, and the dynamic upsurge and success for the comprehensive development of socialism to be surely achieved by their vigorous efforts. -0-
