Pyongyang, December 8 (KCNA) -- The 5th National Conference of Mothers was held with splendor in Pyongyang in December 2023.

The conference was the one to be specially recorded in the history of the country held under the loving care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un for mothers.

In March that year, Kim Jong Un met officials concerned and gave precious instructions to organize the 5th National Conference of Mothers.

Kim Jong Un wholeheartedly told officials that the role of mother is very important in family, a cell of society, adding that the happiness of family, the growth of children and the healthy development of society would be unthinkable apart from the role of mothers.

Still now, all our mothers recollect with emotions that even though it is their duty to bring up their children well while promoting the happiness of their families, Kim Jong Un considers it as the efforts of the mothers to devote themselves to the country.

He planned a grand conference of mothers while highly valuing their position. A few months later, he requested an official to make good preparations for the 5th National Conference of Mothers.

He guided the selection of participants in the conference, the preparations for the performance repertoire and the designs of repertoire cards and stage formation, examined repeatedly the certificate of the newly-enacted Communist Mother Honor Prize, gold ring and list of gifts.

He personally made a significant opening address at the conference, saying that he extended with the warmest reverence his greetings to the mothers who had performed great feats while devoting themselves to the growth of their children and the prosperity of the country. And he had a photo session with them.

Our mothers are filled with enthusiasm to fulfill their duty and responsibility in promoting the future of the country, cherishing deep in mind the love and trust of Kim Jong Un who glorifies their simple and ordinary life, calling them communist mothers. -0-
