Progress Made in Custom-built Equipment Production

Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers of the Taean Heavy Machine Complex in the DPRK strive to produce custom-built equipment through a vigorous drive for increased production and economy.

The complex has worked out its daily, monthly and quarterly plans in a meticulous way and detailed the duty of officials to intensify the technical guidance to ensure that all production lines are coordinated.

Workers and technicians in the parts production and sheet metal processing sectors have increased the production of various kinds of parts and sheet metal products as compared with the same period of last year.

The generating equipment processing shop No. 1 and the heavy machine shop have fulfilled their daily quotas by introducing advanced working methods and proposals for rationalization.

The generating equipment assembly shop and the gear speed reducer shop are pushing ahead with the assembling of equipment necessary for normal production and readjustment and reinforcement in various economic sectors.

Technicians and skilled workers of the complex have solved technical problems arising in improving the performance of equipment to shorten the processing and assembling time and made achievements in establishing waste materials recycling process. -0-
