Pyongyang, March 8 (KCNA) -- The Taean Friendship Glass Factory in the DPRK is carrying out its daily plan for producing plate glass at over 106 percent.

The factory is conducting political work to give full play to the spiritual strength of the masses in various forms and methods, solving technical problems arising in lowering norms of materials consumption per unit and raising the extraction rate of products, and scrupulously organizing and guiding the work for increased production.

The raw materials workshop fully supplies raw materials, and the plate-glass workshop achieves more successes.

The integrated control room is feeding raw materials and operating process-specific equipment in a scientific way and thus successfully dealing with various situations in the production in close cooperation with the workshops.

The Smelting Furnace Work-team Nos. 1 and 2 and others have taken measures to ensure the proper smelting temperature and conducted a technological innovation movement. By doing so, they are producing plate glass of over 1 000 square meters more than planned every day.

The hydrogen and nitrogen workshop supplies high-purity hydrogen and nitrogen, and the electric automation workshop and repair and maintenance shop ensure the stability and smoothness of the whole process, thus contributing to normalizing the production.

The Phyongsong Marble Branch Mine, the Hwangju Dolomite Branch Mine, etc. are also fulfilling their plans by increasing the amount of mining per unit time. -0-
