Mass Technological Innovation Movement Brisk in DPRK

Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- The chemical industrial sector of the DPRK is making successes by launching a mass technological innovation movement for increased production and economy.

The humic acid workshop of the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex has newly manufactured on-off valve to reduce the loss of pulverized coal in the crusher, thus saving over 1 000 tons of raw materials in the first quarter of the year and the drying workshop has remodeled the drying furnace to increase the amount of hot air circulation by more than twice.

The Hungnam Fertilizer Complex has made progress in improving the performance of the compressor parts and making effective use of gas and laid a solid foundation for making various welding rods by itself.

The February 8 Vinalon Complex manufactured rust-protection paint and new catalyzer to prolong the life of equipment at low cost and increased the toughness of vinalon, while making a progress in increasing the proportion of locally available raw materials in producing pumps.

The technicians of the Sunchon Chemical Complex installed an efficient water circulation system into boiler and improved the capacity of the mixing condenser needed for the production of nutrient fertilizer production. And the Myonggan Chemical Factory opened up a prospect for producing basic raw materials for the synthetic resin industry.

The Ponghwa Chemical Factory and the Pyongyang Rubber Factory are making a dynamic drive for increased production and creation, while giving priority to strengthening sci-tech force. -0-
